I came across a recommended film somewhere online; Pad man. And looked up the real story behind the film. I’m very touched and impressed by how determined Arunachalam Muruganantham is in changing menstruation practices. It hurt my heart upon knowing those girls have to drop out of school, some even faced infertility problems due to unhygienic practices. Especially in rural places, where a girl’s only value is bearing offspring for another family. There are still so many things we have to do to close the gender gap around the world. I believe education (charity foundations like Malala Fund) is the key factor in this revolution; including self love (like The Pad Project).
I am sincerely thankful for you and the foundation, so I can be part of making the world a more friendly place for girls and our future generations. The pandemic has affected the economy everywhere. I assume that makes it even harder this year for any charity organization to receive funding/ donation. Despite the pandemic, there are still so many girls out there waiting to be rescued. Thus, making it even more important for me to send out this donation.
