In the U.S. and around the world, The Pad Project partners with local organizations to make menstrual products available to everyone. Internationally, we work with our partners to launch pad-making machine programs and washable pad-making programs in individual communities. In the U.S., we provide grants to nonprofits, grassroots organizations, schools, and school districts to purchase and/or distribute menstrual products to the people they serve. Our international programs are not currently accepting applications, but to learn more about how to apply for a U.S. grant, see below.
Please note, The Pad Project does not have the capacity to fund the large number of grant applicants we receive each year. In general, we prioritize organizations with multiple funding sources and with a proven track record of implementing long-term programs. To indicate interest in applying for one of our grants, please submit a response to the interest form below.
PADS ACROSS AMERICA PROGRAM!
Grant Cycles
We welcome the opportunity to learn more about your organization through our interest form for consideration in the next grant cycle, which has an anticipated opening date of Spring 2025.
Eligibility
- The organization to be funded is a registered nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status
- The organization to be funded is located and operational in the U.S.
- The organization to be funded must utilize grant funds to support menstrual product accessibility among historically underserved and marginalized populations in the U.S.
- The organization to be funded must be able to provide The Pad Project with quarterly grant progress updates and external communications content
- The organization to be funded must communicate with The Pad Project staff within the deadlines requested by our team
- The organization to be funded must have a dedicated staff member who serves as the point of contact for partnership-related inquiries
- The organization to be funded can receive no more than one grant per calendar year from The Pad Project
What We Fund
- The Pad Project’s Pads Across America program funds the purchase and distribution of menstrual products
- Products purchased with grant funds may include, but are not limited to, pads, liners, tampons, cups, and period underwear
- Product grants generally fall in the $500 – $10,000 range and do not cover operating or overhead costs (transportation, fuel, etc.) at this time

- The organization to be funded supports historically underserved student populations as preference is given to schools operating in low-income communities
- The organization to be funded must be able to provide The Pad Project with quarterly grant progress updates and external communications content
- The organization to be funded must communicate with The Pad Project staff within the deadlines requested by our team
- The organization to be funded must have a dedicated school administrator who serves as the point of contact for partnership-related inquiries
- The organization to be funded can receive no more than one grant per calendar year from The Pad Project

- The Pad Project‘s Pads for Schools program funds the purchase and distribution of menstrual products

- This grant applies to individuals, volunteer groups, and small or startup nonprofit organizations (individuals must be 12 years of age or older)
- The organization to be funded must have a project proposal for specific menstrual product distribution within the community they serve
- The organization to be funded is located and operational in the U.S.
- The organization to be funded must utilize grant funds to support menstrual product accessibility among historically underserved and marginalized populations in the U.S.
- The organization to be funded must be able to provide The Pad Project with quarterly grant progress updates and external communications content
- The organization to be funded must communicate with The Pad Project staff within the deadlines requested by our team
- Please note: This grant is intended for individuals and grassroots nonprofits (<1 year old & operating budget <$25,000). If your organization is more established, please refer to our Pads Across America grant
What We Fund
- The Pad Project’s Leap of Faith program funds microgrants of up to $500 worth of menstrual products to individuals or groups in the U.S. to distribute to people in need across their communities
- Products purchased with grant funds may include, but are not limited to, pads, liners, tampons, cups, and period underwear
- Please note: All funding will be provided in direct product donations via Amazon Wishlists
