At the Pad Project, we believe menstrual equity is a human right. We brought this issue to the forefront with our Oscar-winning documentary, Period. End of Sentence. As a global nonprofit, we work alongside communities to expand access to menstrual products, provide education, and break the stigma surrounding menstruation. Our programs currently reach communities across all 50 states and 7 countries across the globe.

Mae Sandler
Mae Sandler is an 11th grade student at Oakwood School with a deep commitment to advancing women’s rights and promoting menstrual equity.
As a Pad Project Ambassador, she works to end period poverty and advocate for inclusive health policies and education for girls around the globe.
Outside of school, Mae works closely with various nonprofits to improve our community here in Los Angeles and frequently participates in initiatives focused on gender equity. She passionately advocates for better treatment and care for animals and devotes time to caring for vulnerable populations.
She is incredibly grateful and excited to have this opportunity and to be able to speak about the organization that has become such a core part of her high school experience. The Pad Project has sparked a devotion inside Mae to combat period stigma and fight for girls' education.

Code Red
In the fall of 2024, students formed Code Red at Palisades Charter High School with the goal of raising money to buy period products for underserved communities and to reduce the stigma around periods.
However, after the Palisades fire burned their school and community, they shifted their goal to collecting donations to directly support fire victims at Pali High.
Code Red is located in the Pacific Palisades, but is temporarily operating in Santa Monica.
